I am a community ecologist, with an emphasis on vertebrates and their interactions with biotic and abiotic environments. I pursue three main research directions: (1) understanding patterns of biological invasions and developing strategies for risk management, (2) uncovering the mechanisms that maintain biodiversity, and (3) investigating species coexistence. Across these areas, I examine how climate change and human disturbance shape ecological dynamics by integrating long-term field surveys and monitoring with theoretical modelling and analyses of large-scale datasets.
