I am presently working as a research assistant for the SalGo group, continuing the work I started with the group as a NERC REP summer intern in the summer of 2023. My work in the group involves researching how grassland community dynamics are influenced by environmental disturbances, using a combination of far-from-equilibrium dynamical modelling, Integral Projection Models (IPMs), and fieldwork at the DRAGNet site in Wytham Woods. More broadly, my primary area of interest is how ecosystems self-organise themselves through community interactions and interactions with the geosphere; with a particular interest in answering these questions for mycorrhizal networks.
