Research Interests

I finished my DPhil at the Salgo Team in 2023, and I continue to work with the team on various research projects including comparative demography and trait-based ecology. My research targets mechanisms for escaping senescence and focuses on the interface of physiology and demography. I use a range of comparative and field approaches to test questions around these topics. I am interested in using Bristlecone pine (Pinus longaeva) as a lens to parse out the influence of environments on demography and the escape from senescence.
