I am passionate about forest ecosystems and understanding their responses to the evolving climate. Leveraging my background in computer science and remote sensing, I want to employ advanced remote sensing technologies to address some of the challenging ecological questions. My main research focus so far has been on using terrestrial laser scanning to study lianas and their impact on tropical forest structure and functioning. During my time here as a junior research fellow in the SalGo team, I aim to map global liana abundance using AI models and study the consequences of climate-change driven increase in liana abundance at a global scale by upscaling the local site-level analysis through spaceborne lidar data.
